Flippin’ Ecke

This is Koblenz, where the Mosel meets the Rhine, and so is called Deutsche Ecke (German Corner).

It is also another place where they place the youth hostel in a castle at top of a mountain. You can reach it by cable car that reaches across the river. Unless you have a bike. Then it is a 0.5 mile slog up hill.

At the top they have a lovely lady in the kiosk who barks the rules at you of how to get through her turn still to the youth hostel. She should be in a Hanzel and Gretel fairy story.
