Turning the Corner

Have you ever wanted something so bad that you would have given anything to achieve it? That happened today. What was supposed to be a leisurely ride up the flat Rhine flood plain towards Colmar and across into Germany turned into the ride from hell.

65kph head winds all the way. I even stopped in a few places when I was still pedalling like mad. All I wanted was to get 75kms down the road so I could turn the corner and head east towards Freiburg and the Danube. It was a long time coming. But finally there was the Rhine and Breisach
