Kiwi, Fruit?


Becky promised me fresh food in New Zealand and she’s right. As a vegetarian, on her last trip she was amazed by the sandwiches and salads on offer, containing so many innovative fresh ingredients. I am looking forward to trying them all. So far it’s lived up to my hopes.

The approach seems to be that, no matter what the dish,  there is always space to stick in an avocado. “Bacon sandwich, certainly. Would you like some avocado with that?” If there is no room they even 'smash' it before adding. Then it fits in the cracks.

"Full english breakfast. Can I add a fried banana?"; you see they pop up all over the place. Not that I’m complaining.
