Faux Couture - Firenze - August 31st

To be honest, I don't normally do this in any concerted way, but with time on my hands I have been observing ladies' dress styles. There's one that looks like a romper suit, sort of gathered at the hem. Another is the 'Ali Baba' trouser, all baggy, again gathered  at the waist and calf with the crotch set somewhere below the knee. Now done right it can be very attractive - cutting edge - but as I have realised there are many near misses. The trousers can fall into the droopy, sodden nappy look that toddlers sometimes adopt.

You have to do a lot of observation to see it done right, so I have dedicated myself to the cause. Someone has to.

The ladies whom I really admire are those who make no compromise to cycling in what they choose to wear. They want to look good for an event and to get there quickly, so they do. It's great to watch them go by.
