Two types of people again at the hostel reception. The first said 'Sorry, no space. We are completely full' All in Italian but nothing was lost in translation. And 'No, she didn't know where the campsite was'.
The second arrived to change shifts and started to photocopy her map to guide me there. Then a revelation. If she juggled some people around then she could find me a space in the hostel. Oh, joy of joys!
'Yesterday', she said 'she'd been in Scotland singing at the Edinburgh Fringe. It was cold but lovely'. Now was it her good feelings for the UK from this experience that made her so helpful? Or was it that she did such interesting things because she was a positive can-do person? I think the latter, but I was just so glad that she was a Yes-person.
