Throw Away Comment - Firenze - 31st August

I have been looking and I may have found it. The location of that embankment scene in "Room With a View" where the hero casts Helen Bonham Carter's postcards into the River Anno because they are covered in blood from the street fight in front of Santa Croce. It must have been shot ealry in the morning or else the whole area closed down to tourists. Or, of course, it may have been filmed back at Elstree Studios.
