I have still not solved the problem of where to carry my bread each day. I could break it in two and stuff it in a pannier but that would seem disrespectful. I could tape it to the cross bar but that’s synthetic, so I push it under the bungee cords holding Tent on the back. It means that soon one end or the other will bend under the tension and go limp. But I kind of like my baguette being on show. It looks authentic, if a little flaccid.
