As I was cycling out of Lyon it reminded me of leaving Passau last year. All I'd done was swap the Danube for the Saone. I think that's important these connections, this shared history. It's one of the reasons why I stay married. If we were to split up then we would lose all those common memories which are more than just thoughts, they are a sort of glue. So Sally, if you are up for it, then we are OK for another year or two. Bet you're glad you married a romantic.
